Instructions for Participants
Important Information for Dover-Sherborn Triathlon competitors
- Please note that the triathlon will have TWO transition areas. The swim\bike transition will be located at Farm Pond in Sherborn, Mass. And the bike\run transition will be located at the Dover-Sherborn High School staging and finish area.
- Triathlon Registration at the DS High School on Saturday 2-5pm Sept 15th (recommended) or starting at 6:30 am Sept 16th, Sunday morning.
- The recommended procedure for Sunday morning on race day is as follows:
- Follow directions to Farm Pond where you will be met by Staff who will assist you in dropping off your bike to be placed in our secure swim\bike transition area.
- Proceed to Dover-Sherborn High School, about 3 miles, and park your car.
- Pre-registered individuals and teams check-in, receive T-shirt and gear bag, then get body marked. If available, late registrants will check-in and receive same.
- Prepare your bike\run transition area at the High School.
- Proceed via shuttle bus to Farm Pond with your swim and bike equipment. Shuttle buses will begin running at 6:30am and run every 5-10 minutes. Please note that these buses will not be prepared to transport bikes. You may chose to park at the High School, register, and then ride to Farm Pond.
- Bring the provided large plastic bag and\or provided luggage tags so that any equipment left at the swim\bike transition area after you have left can be transported to the High School finish area for you. It will be important to have all of your belongings (wet suit, towel, etc.) placed in the bag that is labeled with your number. Larger items such as a pump or tub will be marked with masking tape and a marker. Staff will be available to provide these materials.
- FARM POND REGULATIONS
- Farm Pond is one of the cleanest bodies of water in Massachusetts and it is our intention to maintain that pristine character. Please do not bring any food or trash onto the beach.
- We ask that you avoid use of body lotions or fiction reducing materials.
- Please note that there will be NO PARKING at Farm Pond. All competitors and spectators will need to walk, ride, or use the shuttles to get to Farm Pond. The shuttles will run from 6:30am until 10:00am.
